[...] Kelly Osbourne was a guest host on The View this morning. Like every time she goes on TV, Kelly offered a lot of useful insight to the discuss—just kidding. During a conversation about Donald Trump, she confidently vomited up a racist comment about Latinos and then insisted she did not mean it “like that.”
In an attempt to scold Trump for his own racist comments about Mexican immigrants being “rapists,” Kelly idiotically offered a different generalized view of this group of people: they’re good at cleaning bathrooms! She explained: “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”
Let us be fair to poor Kelly--her Mexicans clean her toilets only because she pays them a living wage. What you do with your Mexicans in Hollywood is your business and she certainly did not mean to suggest that the handful of celebrities who manhandle and bamboozle their Mexicans are doing the Lord's work to enrich their lives. Kelly should feel comfortable enough to share her opinions and put her foot in her mouth. She is setting herself up to be a stern advocate of making quite certain that everyone's Mexican is adequately paid for menial work. Of course she didn't mean it the bad way, even though it came out of her mouth in the bad way as if on purpose and through a great deal of rehearsal.
Does she have a job anymore? Does she need one? Someone out to think about that for a moment.

I was hoping to see something of substance when I checked out the crazies at Powerline, and all I saw was a rehash of what most emphatically did not keep America from electing and then re-electing President Barack Hussein Alinsky Benghazi Obama of rural Kenya. Darn the luck.
You can wade through the Saul Alinsky material if you want, but it's just going to give you a headache. Instead of seething nutters gnawing at the insides of their own mouths, we get practiced outrage and guilt by association.
These people are bonkers and there are no more attendants with butterfly nets to chase them down and put them in the padded cells. Such a pity, such wasted lives, but the ads are super!
I don't know how they still live in Minnesota, these crazies from the Powerline blog. Minnesota is booming, it has a liberal governor who refuses to burnish a national profile, and it sits next to the slapdash clapboard monument to conservative policy ideas, Wisconsin. Every time someone compares Minnesota to Wisconsin, you can hear Packers fans howling about how they've won Superbowls and things like that. What you can't hear are people walking out of a Wisconsin unemployment office with anything but fear and a kick in the ass for their troubles.
It must be impossible to contemplate the idea that Saul Alinsky was on to something, and that his minions now govern us, using his thoughts and words and deeds to give people jobs, health care, safety, and unheralded progress in the face of a multi-decade conservative freakout over nothing.
Wait, were the first three words in that Powerline article really The David Horowitz? And no one thought to hide that fact? Sonofabitch...

There really is a website called "Conservatives For Palin" and they really, really do have a banner with a misspelled word on it.
And I realize that this is absurd and could be entirely wrong, but the phrase stamped on the old Scottish coins was "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit," which is roughly translated as "no one cuts me with inpunity."
The Palin site spells the word as "lacesset." This is an obscure spelling on the Internet. It is vastly more common to spell it "lacessit."
What? I'm bored.

The only way to get a hold of David Cameron, who is the Prime Minister of Great Britain, is to be out of your mind on coke and booze:
The man who claims to be behind the hoax phone calls to David Cameron and to GCHQ has said he was “off [his] face on booze and cocaine” at the time.
The prankster allegedly rang up The Sun newspaper to boast "I've just made monkeys out of GCHQ” minutes after his phone conversation with the Prime Minister.
He told the newspaper the situation was “hilarious” and added: "I'm definitely going to do it again. It was so easy."
The caller, who successfully obtained a private mobile number for director Robert Hannigan from GCHQ, is thought to have contacted their switchboard pretending to be a Downing Street aide
Isn't this an indication that David Cameron is actually doing his job? When a social engineering effort successfully penetrates the security apparatus of the state, don't you feel better knowing that the man responsible for defending your country is actually the fellow who picks up his phone, ready to do his job?

I think it is fairly obvious that Florida Governor Rick Scott is going to win his re-election bid, probably by 20 points. Americans love a petulant man-child. They elect them and re-elect them as often as possible now. Clearly, Charlie Crist showed up with a fan that was designed to make the people of Florida mad enough to forget about their problems, and it worked.
Our politics are insane, our country is led by fools, and you couldn't make this up if you tried.

Shocking insight from Piers Morgan:
President Obama this week committed professional suicide.
Let me explain.
There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished.
The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. It's too bad that this insight--this brilliance--did not translate into any kind of success in America. If there's one thing that the viewing public needs it is the keen eye for U.S. politics that Morgan possesses and isn't afraid to display.
Many people receive millions of dollars in salary for such commentary. To me, Morgan is woefully underpaid and should have his words written down by more than one person so that there are no errors when he utters something smart.
When we get beyond Morgan's gift to us all, we find him wallowing in stupidity (hold the stenographers) and covered in his own shame (which should get him back on TV soon).
How is President Obama "failing" to protect Americans through complacency? After winning the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2009, he ordered Osama bin Laden to be shot in the forehead, bombed a string of countries, visited robot death from the skies on untold numbers of cowering terrorists, started wars in places Americans can't find on maps, and has made darned certain that there aren't any Americans driving around Baghdad in fifth generation MRAPs.
I don't get these people. This administration couldn't win for trying with them. No matter what the President does, he's either a tyrant or a feckless coward. Which one is it today?
